And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands. And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust. Isaiah 25:11-1
When I awoke, it was 2 a.m. I sat up on my elbows, listening and looking around the room. The dim light from the bathroom cast soft shadows against the stillness of the house.
The LORD’s voice broke the silence.
“ARBA! ARBA!”
I could both see and hear this word. I sat in silence listening intently.
“LORD, what does this mean?”
“You need to find out” was his reply.
I grabbed my laptop typing out in a search the word I had seen and heard.
The word was a Hebrew word. To my amazement, it is only used once in the entire Bible.
The word “arba” in Hebrew means treachery. deceit, spoils, lying in wait, or ambushment.
Seven days before, the LORD had told me to get up one hour earlier each day to pray before heading out to work. The instruction was to pray in tongues and spread my hands like I was swimming. So each morning, rising early for one hour, I would pray, swimming all the while. There was a specific worship song I was to listen to while I prayed. The title of the song was “Do It Again”. The song recounted the great deliverance the LORD wrought for Israel when He caused the walls of Jericho to fall flat.
When I turned to the scripture reference that morning, to my astonishment, the word “arba: was contained in the scripture text about JEHOVAH SWIMMING! I was amazed.
My eyes were tired; I lay back on my pillow to rest them and soon fell into a deep sleep.
During this time I had a dream.
I had a specific parking spot at the office. I parked daily in the U-shaped driveway at the stoop leading to the front door. In the dream, my car was no longer there. Where my car was usually parked there was a pile of dead bodies. These bodies were piled up like a cord of firewood. They were all dressed in black from head to toe. There were both men and women.
I woke up suddenly pondering everything I had heard, seen, and dreamed.
On the way to work that morning, I called my daughter. I began to tell her about all that had transpired. At one point she interrupted me.
“Mom! Mom! I need to tell you something! When I prayed for you all last week, I kept seeing you swimming! I saw you swimming. so much that I told my husband that I thought the LORD wanted us to buy you swimming lessons! “
I stood still in my spirit.
‘I think you saw me in the spirit realm praying and swimming as the LORD instructed.” I replied. “
When I arrived at the office as usual, I parked in front of the stoop leading to the front door. Getting out of my car, I was struck that the driveway was dirt. I remembered the scripture in Isaiah 25:12, where the LORD declares to the walls of the stronghold of the wicked that He would bring them down, lay them low, bring them to the ground, even to the dust.
Shortly after I opened my work computer, my cell phone began to ring. It was my daughter calling.
“Mom! I have something to tell you! Mom, I got a word in my Inbox this morning. It is a vocabulary word of the day. I haven’t signed up to receive any vocabulary words. The word is ‘NATATION“. Do you know what “NATATION” means?”
‘No, what does it mean?” I responded.
“Mom! It means “TO SWIM; SWIMMING”!
